Lou Quallenberg Studios creates a unique, style of award winning, mesquite furniture that truly captures the essence of the Texas Hill Country. The live edge furniture style has also been called urban organic furniture by the design industry. Lou's work is the ultimate in art and bespoke furniture, custom, handcrafted especially for the upscale luxury interior. It looks just as good in a New York City Penthouse Apartment, Coastal or Mountain Vacation Home, or on that fabulous Colorado, Wyoming, Montana or Texas Ranch.

Working primarily with Texas Mesquite grown deep in the Texas Hill Country, Artist Lou Quallenberg attempts to honor the wood and highlight it's natural beauty. Each curve is carefully crafted to match the natural curves of the mesquite top. The custom curved mesquite designs are handmade to enhance the look as well as serve as a strong support, creating an upscale contemporary piece that is both functional and beautifully enduring. The finish applied to our mesquite furniture is a full two week process of natural hand rubbed oil and wax. It calls out for you to touch and feel it.
Each of our art furniture pieces is signed by the artist, photographed, and then cataloged with the original client / buyer recorded.
Please note Lou Quallenberg Studios has recently received inquiries on specific pieces that are no longer available. If any clients wish to sell our early works, please contact the Studio or our representative Galleries. This will enable the Studio to track the provenance of each piece adding to the investment value of all pieces.
Q: What design style is it?
A: It really is Lou's own design style and after much contemplation, consultation and even a web poll, we are calling it sculpted live edge furniture and/or urban organic furniture. The names are both found in recent design industry publications and the best fit that we could find. As always we are open to suggestions.
